History of our family business
The company Apiserum Revita Dr. Nobis GmbH & CO.KG was founded under the name APISERUM Leinberger & CO in 1952 in Lindau on Lake Constance by Mrs. Erika Goudounaix.
Ms. Goudounaix's motivations were very personal. By training, she was a concert violinist and had worked in Vienna and Berlin. For various reasons, she fell into depressive states and went in search of relief. She found it in France. There, a drinking solution with royal jelly was available. Mrs. Goudounaix consumed it for some time and, according to her own explanation, regained her physical strength and new courage to face life.
Royal jelly is the food juice that the larva, selected by the hive to become queen bee, receives as food from the nurse bees. The food juice is responsible for the larva to grow into a queen bee. Thus, the queen bee towers over the rest of her colony in size alone.
This effect has been used by scientists for human beings and has been implemented in cosmetics and food supplements.
Enthused by this elixir and her own successes, Mrs. Erika Goudounaix decided to offer this remedy on the market in Germany for the first time. She first obtained the license for the distribution in Germany and soon she produced cosmetic and pharmaceutical products under the brand name APISERUM, which she distributed initially in Germany but soon in many countries worldwide.
in 1966, the company moved from Lindau to Laufen in Upper Bavaria.
Other products were created and marketed under the brand name REVITA.
in 1972, Dr. Arnold Nobis, a nephew of Mrs. Erika Goudounaix, (a food technologist with a doctorate from the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences, Vienna, Austria) joined the company. Until joining the company, Dr. Nobis was an assistant professor at his alma mater.
During his years as a senior employee and since 1988 as Managing Director, he developed the BIOSBEE brand under the company name Apiserum Revita Dr. Nobis GmbH & CO.KG.
2004 Berthold Nobis (son of Dr. Nobis) starts his cooperation in the company. He studied microbiology at the Karl Franzens University in Graz. His area of responsibility is quality assurance and management.
in 2008 Berthold Nobis' wife Alexandra Nobis starts her work in the family business. She studied law at the University of Vienna. She is responsible for marketing, training and sales.
2012 Dr. Arnold Nobis retires from the company and hands over the management to Berthold Nobis.
in 2016, the company name is changed to Manufaktur B.W.Nobis under the management of Berthold Nobis.
