Company portrait
"Quality First" is the guiding principle of the founder Gustav Kracht, which has accompanied Credo since 1924. No matter whether it concerns the self-manufactured products or purchased products: The quality standard is the basis for all decisions of the company, which in the meantime is managed by the 4th generation. Only when these are fulfilled, a product may leave the house and carry the name Credo.
Inventiveness, ingenuity, the courage to take risks and the willingness to change are qualities that characterize Credo's 90-year tradition: Credo was the inventor of the can opener and the callus plane at a time when the company was active in both the "household" and "beauty" divisions. By focusing on the beauty division, the company cemented its reputation as the world leader in the manufacture and distribution of mechanical pedicure instruments with a global reputation. A further patent for the Safety plane improved the properties of the otherwise mature corneal plane, which in the meantime had been produced millions of times over. It was again the pioneering spirit and the willingness to take risks of the current
Management, which brought color into the bathroom with the introduction of the POP ART line and once again expressed the uniqueness of Credo products for pedicure and manicure instruments with a well-developed assortment.
The pillars of the business are formed by the many thousands of chiropodists and podiatrists, as well as loyal retail and wholesale customers. Every day, professional podiatrists open the small letters of the tens of millions of planer blades bearing the Credo logo, making an invaluable contribution to the preservation and creation of the Credo brand in Germany and over 60 countries. Drugstores, beauty salons, pharmacies, department stores, perfumeries or online trade form the second strong pillar of the company.
