Live on stage - top performance in front of experts
The finalists pigment live in front of an attentive audience. Precision, technique and aesthetics are crucial - but creativity and type-appropriate color selection also play a role.
During the competition, a hygiene jury ensures compliance with strict European standards, from product selection to working methods. Only after pigmentation is complete does the expert jury assess the results - anonymously and objectively to guarantee absolute fairness.

The finalists - many talents, one mission: perfection
40 finalists have prevailed against numerous applicants and are among the best permanent make-up artists in their category. With their talent, precision and passion for the craft, they have earned their place in this top-class competition. On the final day, they will perform live to demonstrate their skills to the audience and expert jury.
Four categories - four challenges
The finalists put their skills to the test in four challenging categories:
Powder Brows - Perfect shading without harsh contours for natural, full eyebrows.
Volume Lips - Color gradients that add volume and expression without going beyond the natural lip line.
Shaded Eyeliner - Softly shaded eyeliner technique for an expressive look with a smooth transition.
Hair Stroke Brows - The supreme discipline of micropigmentation: fine, natural hair strokes with a perfect color gradient.
Final & Award Ceremony - A luminous spectacle under the motto “NEON - Explosion of Color”
The live competition is followed by the big styling: the finalists stage their models according to the motto “NEON - Explosion of Color”. Here, the natural elegance of permanent make-up merges with the powerful energy of bright neon colors: a stage full of creative styles, outfits in neon pink, green, yellow or blue that create a bright highlight with every detail. The combination of PMU precision and color-intensive styling makes this moment a real experience.
The PBM Award Ceremony!
The best permanent make-up artists are crowned in a rousing show - a moment full of excitement, pride and emotion. When the models take to the stage in their impressive neon looks and the best of the best are celebrated, the entire hall pulsates to the rhythm of the colors.

It is possible to apply in several categories. Work samples must then be submitted for EACH category in which you wish to apply and an online application must be completed for each.
An expert jury will evaluate your submitted documents and work and nominate the finalists.
A maximum of 10 finalists will be admitted per category.
CHALLENGES IN THE CATEGORIES
VOLUME LIPS
The challenge:
The anatomical and natural shape of the lip should be reproduced as closely as possible and must not be pigmented beyond the natural lip line. The contour should be precise, but not visible as a line.
The color must be applied evenly. There should be no gap between the contour and the shade.
To achieve volume lips, the “lip heart” should be worked in an arc - you should avoid an “angular” shape here.
SHADED EYELINER
The challenge:
The shaded eyeliner is applied directly from the lash line. The beginning and end of the eyeliner must run out evenly and as the finest line. The symmetry of width, length and direction must be maintained.
The shape and color must be chosen to suit the type.
The shading must be applied delicately and evenly. The transition from the dark lash line to soft shading must be smooth.
There must be no gap between the contour and shading.
POWDER BROWS
The challenge:
The anatomical and natural shape of the eyebrow should be reproduced as closely as possible. A clear shape should be visible - but without a fixed contour or frame. If there are missing hairs or gaps, work visually denser - do not pigment individual hairs.
The pigment tone and saturation should look like the “healed” version. Work as airily as if it were already the healed end result.
Make sure to match the pigment tone of the eyebrows to the hair color.
HAIR STROKE BROWS
The challenge:
The pigmentation of eyebrow hairs is considered the supreme discipline of micropigmentation. Absolute naturalness is a must! Here too, the anatomical and natural shape of the eyebrows should be reproduced as closely as possible.
The natural growth direction and shape of the eyebrows must be observed and adhered to. Individual hairs should be clearly, cleanly and precisely visible without running into each other.
The pigment tone and saturation should match the natural hairs as closely as possible.
Micropigmentation must be carried out using a PMU device - not microblading!
