From 22 to 24 March 2024 BEAUTY DÜSSELDORF will not only reunite the world of service cosmetics in four exhibition halls but also offer a comprehensive expert programme with an inspiring range of high-quality workshops and scientific lectures about trends, basics and techniques providing innumerable continuous education options. And entertainment revolving around fashion and lifestyle will not fall by the wayside either. The talks delivered on the expert stages BEAUTY full FEET, BEAUTY full SKIN and BEAUTY full NAILS can be attended without prior registration because admission is included in the trade fair ticket.
Beauty-biz tips for salon and studio operators
On the BEAUTY Business Stage in Hall 11 high-calibre experts will address such entrepreneurial topics as the establishment of, funding and success factors for this business. Hot Topics such as recruiting, AI and legal matters will also be dealt with comprehensively. Recruiting expert Henner Knabenreich will describe “quick-fix” measures to stand out as an attractive employer. Rosine Dätwyler will demonstrate how to use ChatGPT at cosmetics institutes in her hands-on workshop and lawyer Astrid Tomczak will provide an update on cosmetics and law. Practical tips for marketing yourself will come care of Make-up Rocker Patrick Maldinger, for example, who will introduce the marketing must-haves. In addition, many useful insights for social media marketing will be presented by agency founder Ravi Walia and cosmetician Susann Muth.
Exclusive area all about permanent make-up
BEAUTY Düsseldorf will dedicate an area exclusively to PMU because the permanent make-up business is growing and offers increasingly comprehensive and advanced treatment possibilities that beauty professionals can leverage to expand their service portfolio. The segment in Hall 11 scores points with numerous expert lectures, live demos, a championship as well as an exhibition with cash & carry products. The Permanent BEAUTY Masters will be held for the second time – a competition synonymous with absolute fairness owing to its independent jury. Top theme: healthy skin
The Cosmetics segment is home to the exhibitors of skincare, decorative and apparatus-based cosmetics products. The exhibits in Halls 10 and 11 range from skincare products and innovative active ingredients to natural cosmetics and trending make-up products, not forgetting new developments in treatment accessories and technical equipment. In 2024 the BEAUTY full SKIN stage will be all about “Healthy Skin” because this is a key prerequisite for a radiant appearance. Visitors will be in for pooled knowledge for cosmeticians conveyed in numerous lectures and talks covering the segments of cosmetics, nutrition, nutritional supplements, medicine and sports. On Friday, the series will kick off with an intervention by Dr. Meike Streker on healthy skin, followed by contributions, for instance on the power of antioxidants and sun protection. On Saturday, the focus will be on holistic cosmetic approaches: here amongst others nutritionist Adaeze Wolf will talk about the correlation between a balanced diet and beautiful skin. The importance of a healthy diet for a beautiful glow will also be discussed by Miss Germany 50 plus Tatjana Jünger as well as best-ager model Manuela Haberland in a talk with Dr. Meike Streker. Other topics addressed on Saturday will be the influence of hormones on healthy skin and of micro-nutrients on women’s health. “Medical Sunday” will pick up the topic of healthy skin from the medical viewpoint. Here Antje Meyer and Dr. Meike Streker, to name but two speakers, will discuss cosmetic measures in oncology. Ruth Neri will introduce visitors to the NGO DKMS LIFE and its commitment to cancer patients and will cover pro bono work in cooperation with cosmeticians.
The latest nail design trends and techniques
In the Nail segment (Hall 12) visitors will find a selection of innovative products, latest hand and nail care concepts as well as current nail trends and finishing techniques. On the BEAUTY full NAIL Stage renowned, national and international nail experts will present the latest trends and techniques. The Highlight Lectures will revolve around such topics as French Rose, Portrait Painting, Wet Flowers Gel Painting and Quick Nail. Erika Mogyorosi will, for instance, demonstrate how to deliver a quick design and great texture with the right choice of tips. Decsi Coralia wants to take nail art to the next artistic level and will present a portrait on a 2.5 cm nail tip. Reka Schmidt will showcase modern gel painting allowing designers to paint complex flowers quickly using a wet-on-wet technique. In the Nailympia Germany competition, Germany’s nail artists are again invited to compete with each other in an exciting international championship at BEAUTY Düsseldorf 2024. In the Nailympia Germany Arena in Hall 12 Novices, Apprentices and Masters will “battle it out” in the live categories Gel Polish Manicure, Gel Tip/Overlay, Gel Sculpting, Joy of Nails, French Twist 5-Shape Challenge, Acrylic Tip & Overlay, Acrylic Sculpting, Salon Nails and Stiletto Nails. Last but not least: Hall 12 will be host to the Accessories & Bijouterie segment.
Hall 9: everything for foot specialists
Here podiatry and pedicure professionals can find out about new products, treatments and services – both at the stands of the exhibiting companies and through the expert and stage programme. The BEAUTY full FEET Stage is synonymous with expert exchange, well-founded further training and multi-disciplinary knowledge transfer in podiatry therapy and cosmetic pedicure. In line with the principle “from practitioners for practitioners” foot experts are in for a versatile line-up of podiatry, medical, professional policy and business administration topics. Highlights will include sessions (with continuous education credits) on such focal themes as “Fascination Fascia and Foot Health” and “Medical Device Law Requirements made on the Users of Toenail Braces”, to name but two. On Saturday afternoon the first Foot Award will be presented on the BEAUTY full FEET Stage.
Meeting Point
The MEETING POINT in Hall 10 will again become a genuine event stage placing shows, celeb appearances, various competitions and special activities centre stage. At the BEAUTY-Talk Amira Pocher will be featured as a guest on the big stage. In the talk “Menopause Labyrinth” hormone expert Ann-Katrin Pause and Susanne Liedtke, the founder of “Nobody told me”, will bust myths and clarify facts about the menopause. Podcaster Caterina Pogorzelski will discuss the power of self-love, mindfulness and self-care. Fixed programme items at the MEETING POINT will – as before – include the Golden Mask for Make-Up Artistry, awarded to Karin Darnell this year, as well as the EUROPEAN MAKE-UP AWARDS.
BEAUTY DÜSSELDORF 2024 is open from Friday to Sunday, 22 to 24 March 2024, from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm. Visitors have to submit trade visitor credentials before purchasing a ticket.
