The brand-new Make-up ARTIST AWARD to debut at BEAUTY Düsseldorf 2025 will take creativity, craftsmanship and innovation to the next level. This contest will provide all make-up artists from throughout the world – from self-made talents to professionals – with a stage to thrill the jury with extraordinary styles.
Wanted: outstanding make-up talents of the beauty industry
The Make-up ARTIST AWARD targets all those passionate about make-up. Rather than CVs or formal certificates it is only the courage and creativity to create unique looks that count here. “With the new Make-up ARTIST AWARD we celebrate creativity and promote a new generation of make-up talents. This is why everyone should have the opportunity to convince the jury with their very own signature looks,” says Hannes Niemann, Director of BEAUTY, underlining the mission of the Make-up ARTIST AWARDS.
How the Make-up ARTISTS AWARDS will work
The ‘Top 50 Face Offs’ will kick off the contest on the BEAUTY Friday, 28 March 2025. Five groups of ten selected make-up artists will compete with each other live on stage. Within as little as 30 minutes participants are to create an individual signature look. Be it Special Effects, Beauty, Bridal, Airbrush, Editorial or other techniques – the choice of looks is left to the participants. The ten most compelling make-up artists will be shortlisted for the grand finale.
In the ‘Top 10 Finals’ on BEAUTY Sunday, 30 March 2025, the finalists will be set one theme – and perfect and creative implementation count here now. The finalists will present their creations in the presence of a high-calibre jury and the expert audience of BEAUTY Düsseldorf. The highlight will be the Award Ceremony Show, where the winners will be announced. The first prize: an engagement as make-up artist for an exclusive campaign shoot with beauty photographer Natascha Lindemann and a renowned make-up brand. In addition, all finalists can look forward to receiving attractive prizes in kind.

DJ sets and drinks add a modern twist to the atmosphere. The new Make-up ARTIST AWARD will prove an experience to reunite the community,” sums up Director Hannes Niemann.
Interested make-up artists can apply online for participation on the BEAUTY Düsseldorf website from 1 December 2024. Deadline for applications is 1 February 2025.
