The “Golden Mask for Make-Up Artistry 2022” goes to Dafinë Neziri. The German-Kosovar is one of the big names in the international fashion and beauty business. She is active in many countries around the globe with her unique make-up techniques. Dafinë Neziri is not only a very talented and successful make-up artist in Europe, but her expertise is also in high demand as a lecturer in workshops.
Messe Düsseldorf and KRYOLAN Professional Make-up present the “Golden Mask for Make-Up Artistry” to make-up artists for extraordinary creativity, expertise and special commitment to the make-up artist’s profession as part of BEAUTY DÜSSELDORF. The award ceremony will be held at the Meeting Point in Hall 10 on Saturday, 7. May 2022, at 1pm.
Dafinë Neziri was born in Kosovo and moved with her family to Göppingen in Germany as a child. After coming of age, she went back to her birth country to continue her studies at the American University of Kosova RIT for Management, Public Policy and Media. During her studies, she also earned her MUD certification as a make-up artist. She obtained a franchisee licence to resell Kryolan make-up products in Kosovo. After many years of hard work and dedication, Neziri established the first make-up school in Kosovo in 2016. "I am fascinated that a make-up artist can create and develop something new every day. Thanks to my training and experience, I am able to use my imagination in many ways to express my creativity in a way that makes the model in front of me happy with her best version of herself," says Neziri, who is married and has a six-year-old son.
Dafinë Neziri sets the stage perfectly and individually for international stars for their big appearances. Her great creative versatility is in demand and the repertoire ranges from natural make-up to bridal, television, catwalk, character and theatre make-up. Whether it's work for the fashion industry, show business or television appearances, concerts and music videos - many celebrities trust her make-up artistry including top stars such as Amanda Cerny, Bebe Rexha, Huda Kattan or Catherine McBroom. As a make-up artist, she has worked for brands and labels such as Huda Beauty, Sephora, Douglas and Fenty, among others. „I have worked hard to perfect my techniques and the attention to detail has made it easier. The best thing for me is that I can teach others my make-up skills and be a really good example to my students. Make-up artist is a profession unlike any other and I have enabled myself to live my dream," says the likeable award winner, who describes herself as hardworking and ambitious, but also passionate and adventurous.
Dafinë Neziri has achieved great popularity on social media. She has more than 775,000 followers on Instagram and over 971,000 people follow her on TikTok. "I have great fun sharing my pictures and videos with my followers and inspiring them with lots of content." Working on social media has also helped her cope better with the difficulties of the Covid pandemic. Now the focus is firmly back on the future and the expert likes it colourful when it comes to the current make-up trend - Dafinë has especially chosen purple as her personal trend colour for the year 2022.
